A Gujarti Handsome Weds a Puerto Rican Beauty

This was one beautiful mix culture wedding that we shot. Adam is true Gujarti, Muslim where Pamela is a Puerto Rican, Christian. We flew from New York to Florida to cover their wedding. The weather was perfect in Orlando. The next day after we landed was a small mehndi function at the groom house, (it’s a Hyderbadi cultural event celebrated a night before the big day). It was a small event in house, but the entire house was fully decorated. All the people is the house were dressed up and we loved how the Puerto Rican guests all dolled up in a desi outfit. They just looked gorgeous. This day ended with lots of fun, laughter and delicious homemade Indian food.

The next day wedding started with a court marriage following with a Nikah in mosque. It was great so see the coordination and understanding between the two different culture families. The Qari Sahab of the mosque gave a small sermon on life of a married couple and few more important things. Everyone there really liked listening to him. Right after nikah ceremony, everyone headed back to their homes.

Later the same day, Bride went to her friend’s home for getting ready for the reception party that was held in the backyard of her sister’s huge beautiful house.  The décor of the backyard was all done by the bride’s sister. The arrangement was beyond amazing and beautiful. They had a small tree house there and a well decorated swing. A small floor stage was decorated for the bride and groom. The event was full of music, dance, fun and laughter. The friends and family gathered to celebrate their happiness.

The next day was our last day in Orlando where we did an outdoor shoot of the newly weds in a deep dark forest, it was a raining that day but we managed to took some outstanding shots of the couple. We loved capturing there moments and preserve their best memories… !
